The Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Thursday claimed current data showed the ruling Georgian Dream party would secure a constitutional majority in the Parliament in the October elections.
In his remarks, Kobakhidze claimed the opposition was “focused on delegitimising” the elections.
It is clear what the opposition is preparing for. They know that they are losing the elections, and they are losing very badly”, he alleged.
According to today's data, we will secure a constitutional majority in the Parliament. In such conditions, the opposition is focused on one thing - an attempt to delegitimise the elections, and their campaigns against the Central Election Commission are related to that”, the PM said.
The Government head further claimed the opposition’s campaigns were “absolutely weak” and the parties “do not have a chance to succeed” in the vote scheduled for October 26.
